Black Stone Builders
Our owner Scott Solum comes from a long line of craftsmen so building comes naturally to him. Starting with his grandfather at a young age and continuing with his father he took part in building several houses instilling in him a strong desire to continue the legacy of being a craftsman. Because of this, he believes in mingling modern technology with old-school quality.
The Transition
Driving from one end of Davis county to the other the number of homes built by Solum Construction is immense. In 2019 Scott fell in love with Heber Valley and decided to relocate his home and business to Charleston, Utah. He continues to build along the Wasatch front as well as in Heber Valley under the new name of Blackstone Builders.
Our Family
Scott is proud to carry on the craftsman trade and has enjoyed passing that skill and passion on to his 3 sons and 1 daughter. Together they all work in careers ranging from computer programming to photography to Interior Design all helping to make the business flourish. And not one of them is afraid to pick up a hammer.
